Making The Album

2008 has been a year of reflection and thoughtfulness, resulting in much needed closure about many personal things. I set a goal for myself to write one song per month which, if I calculated correctly, would give me 12 new songs by the end of the year! With the new music I thought I would start playing out in the Spring of 2009, and start recording in the Summer with the hopes of being done by the end of that year. Well, I’m way ahead of pace with the music, having written about 20 complete songs. But, to me they seem to fall into two distinct categories, so I have decided to pursue the songs that challenge me the most on a personal level. I will continue to arrange and hopefully start to record these songs in preparation for my 2009 schedule. Here is an extremely tentative song list for the album titled, “The Argument For Urgency” (at least for now):
